Samsung TV setup

Prerequisites

• Samsung TV with SSSP 5.0 or later, list of supported models can be found here.

• If your model is not in the list, but is produced after 2019 then it is supported.

• An installation created and set up in grid console.

Setting up

• Go to main menu and select ‘Play via’, ‘URL Launcher’

• Press Home button and select ‘URL Launcher settings’

• Select ‘Install Web App’, specify a URL:

  • App in landscape mode: http://tizen.omborigrid.com/2.65.0

  • App in portrait mode: http://tizen.omborigrid.com/2.65.0-portrait

  • App in portrait mode rotated right: http://tizen.omborigrid.com/2.65.0-portrait-alternative

  • App with debug console enabled: http://tizen.omborigrid.com/debug

• The app should be installed and a 4-letter code will be shown

• Now you need to register your TV to your installation. Enter a 4-letter code in ‘create device’ window in grid console.

• The 4-letter code will disappear and the app will download settings and start automatically.

• If the app is closed, go to the Home screen, and select ‘Ombori, URL Launcher’ to re-launch. The app will auto start when the screen is turned on if it was active when screen was shut down.

• If the app is reinstalled (via ‘URL Launcher settings’ screen) the TV registration procedure will need to be done again.
