Curbside administrator mobile PWA

It is possible to install curbside administrator as PWA on Android or iOS mobile devices and have similar experience to a native mobile application. This enables easy access to curbside admin for the staff as well as native mobile notifications when customers arrive (notifications are available only on Android due to platform limitations).

Install Android curbside admin PWA - one time setup:

  1. Access curbside admin through a link as described here in Google Chrome: Access the Curbside Pickup administrator

  2. Open Chrome settings menu and select ‘Add to home screen’

3. Provide a name for your home screen app shortcut

Add to Home screen prompt - input friendly name that the staff will understand and locate on home screen

4. Shortcut will be added to device home screen. Click on the shortcut to open curbside admin application:

5. After opening BOPAC curbside admin through home screen shortcut, enable notifications by pressing ‘Enable notifications’ button and confirming permissions:

6. The device will receive notifications when customer arrives even if the curbside admin application is not active (for example, when the device is in pocket). Curbside admin can be easily accessed from home screen like any other application.
